    Description

WWI US cavalry spurs made by August Buermann.
The spurs are marked "U.S. A.B." August Buermann was born in Sattenhausen, Germany Aug. 04, 1842. He apprenticed as a locksmith in Germany and he arrived in NewYork Aug. 1864. A few weeks later he went into the Army as a substitute forsomeone who came into the locksmithing company where he was working, lookingfor a volunteer. August Buermann Mfg. Co. began making spurs for both thecivilian and military markets. The spurs features leather bindings.
Great shape! Leather straps are in good shape. One is a bit wider than the other. Don't know why. This the way I bought them.
