WWI Era US Army M1909 Leather Belt Holster for M1917 .45 cal. Revolver - Marked: G&K 1918 w/A.G. Inspector Initals - Nice Condition
Up for sale is a WWI Era US Army M1909 Leather Belt Holster for the M1917 .45 cal Revolver.  This is a vintage old military belt holster.  It is used, see photo's for
Condition.  The leather is still soft and supple.  Some minor surface cracking and minor splits to the leather on the flap, see photo.  The leather has darkened with age, but still retains most of the rich russet brown color.   It has a faint US oval logo on the front.  On the rear of the holster it is marked: G&K 1918 w/A.G. Inspector Initals.  The markings are clear & readable.  Still has the end plug but the brass ring is no longer present.  There is a seam separtion at the seam of the end plug, see photo.  There is an area under the flap that is tacked, don't know why.  This holster was originally designed to be a "Butt Forward" carry design.  It is NOT a left hand holster.
