This Kasane-Eri is in perfect, unused condition. It is made of red and white silk in a tiny, shibori pattern
. Never used in its original package with two clips - an absloutely gorgeous item!
Kasane-eri (sometimes called Date-eri) are an important accessory for kimono. They are sewn on or fixed on the Kimono's neckband with a pins or special clips in a way that it shows only slightly, giving the kimono a layered look.
They are a standard size but to give you an idea of scale, the box measures 13 X 21 cm or about 5” X 8”.
Made in Japan
This is from a huge lot of vintage Japanese items that we have
acquired.
Most were produced in Japan in the 1960’s to 1980’s. This was before such items were made in other Asian countries as they usually are now.
Some are unused, like new or have stains or other damage so
