Vintage or Antique Springerle Wooden Rolling Pin

Description

This wonderful vintage rolling pin is used to make German Springerle cookies.  I'm not sure when exactly it was made, so it might be an antique. The rolling pin measures 14.5 inches long from tip of handle to tip of handle.  The section with the pictures imprinted measures 7.5 inches long, and each individual picture measures approximately 1.75 inches tall by 2 inches wide.  The picture portion of the pin has an approximately 2.5 inch diameter. The handles are separate pieces of wood and, thus, roll separately from the center section, for ease of rolling.  This is a very special piece!
