Vintage Midgets-Big Cars -Auto Racing "NATIONAL AUTO RACING NEWS- (7) - 1942
Due to WWII, a ban on racing was administered Between July of 1942 and August of 1945. With no new racing results to print, ANRA was only printing weekly  and sometimes  monthly papers instead of it’s usual weekly. Most of the articles and photos were reprints from previous years. This included big cars and midget racing. The only racing that was still happening was miniature tether cars on a handful of tracks throughout the country. Due to war time paper, the newspapers are easily ripped or torn with tattered and taped edges and split seams. These ANRN issues provided an excellent source of pre-war racing articles, photos and statists. The papers are well used and good for establishing or documenting the racing pre-war history of many big cars and midgets. Condition varies from “only fair” to “good” with some issues marked poor. These papers are being offered “as-is” due to their fragile condition and age. BEING OFFERED: Includes (7) issues, approx 8 pages each, 1942: Jan 15, 22, 29 Feb 5, 12, 19 and 26. Wartime paper, all good condition for age. Shipping 1 1/2 lbs
