Vintage Evans Butterfly Folding Opera Glasses Circa 1940s
These opera glasses have only one distinguishing factor which is “EVANS” prominently displayed on a badge between the front lenses, which is only visible when they are open.
Our research only reviled one other matching example to these, and it was an exact match down to the size, placement, and the number of screws on the backplate.
Those were identified as circa 1940s and listed with an estimated value of between 0 and 0 dollars.
This example of these opera glasses is in wonderful condition with very few signs of their age.  Please check the listings pictures, they are of the actual glasses you will receive and can do a much better job of describing their condition than we can.
They open with the push of a button, they close with a twist of the handle, and have a variable focus adjustment conveniently located in the center.  The exterior appears to be leather which would explain why it looks so good for its age.
We do not know the focal strength but can tell you they work and work well.  The focus adjusts to a nice crisp view.
