UNUSUAL ANTIQUE GEORGIAN ENGLISH GILT TRIPLE WATCH COCK BROOCH PIN c1760

Description

This fascinating and really pretty brooch is made of watch cocks that date from around 1760!
They’re amazingly finely detailed, entirely hand made, with pierced and engraved decoration and each of the three with a central bead giving an intriguing 3d aside to the 2 dimensional design of the rest of the piece.
Assembled during the Victorian period, with high quality gilded pin fittings, it’s 2.25" long and 0.75" wide.

It's in excellent, fully wearable condition throughout, with no loss or damage, and weighs 6.1 grams. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter.
