    Description

PRIMITIVE 1920's FARM HOUSE ROLLING PIN
    from Indiana
Hardwood, looks like oak which was  common wood to use for Indiana farmhouse tools.
If you plan to use it to roll dough, you won't be disappointed.  I'm a former professional cooking instructor and can assure this pin is as good as it gets for utility.  It rolls smoothly and is no harder to clean than a wooden spoon.
    17" Wide w/Handles
    10.5" Wide Rolling Drum
There is a small wood stove burn on the drum (last picture) which I think gives it character.
I thought long and hard about cleaning the handle grooves, which would be very easy to do.  Then I thought the buyer should make that decision.  The dough and flour residue in those handles is part of the patina which denotes its age and history.
