    Description

Stylized image blending the elements of Patriotism synonymous with Boston. Use of The American flag and a revolutionary soldier help to promote travel to this historical city via American Airlines. The artist, Edward McKnight Kauffer (1890 - 1954) studied painting at the California School of Design. He gained recognition during World War I when he produced over 140 posters for the London Underground. He is primarily noted for as a Modernist. In 1947 he was hired hired by American Airlines to do a series of travel posters. They remained his primary client until his death in 1954 - the year after rendering this poster. Will ship in a tube with insurance. I do not ship outside the USA.
You will note by the pictures that there is some damage along the edges in a couple spots and a crease in the lower/right corner. Color is vibrant and the patriotic subject matter is highly desirable. Ours is a non-smoking household.
Stored in a tube and will ship in a tube, so it will need to be 'flattened'.
