Comparable retail price Sunshine Yellow Mason Stain is 13.50 per 1/4 lbs.  We used this with Glossy Base #2 from Mastering Cone Six Glazes and a special technique to increase the depth of color and to tint the color since the GB2 glaze is transparent. I cannot send you the recipe as it is copyrighted and available in the book, but any glossy transparent glaze ought to work.
Mason Stains are not just for glazes anymore! You can use them color slips or clay bodies to produce solid color throughout the body. Slips can be applied and removed using sgraffito techniques. Sunshine Yellow Mason Stain (#6479) is almost electric out of the bag, a very bright yellow.
