MAP  –  VIETNAM WAR  –  KHE SANH  –  HILL 881 South  –  Co Roc --
LANG VEI
Huong Hoa; Map #6342-III; Series L7014
Here is an original 1:50,000 military combat map dated 1968 (the year of the siege of Khe Sanh), updated March 1970.
It is not a copy, nor a reproduction.
It is the real deal, very rare, and an important piece of military history.
The map pictured is the map you get.
Huong Hoa, along the Laotian border in the northwest of Quang Tri Province, was the most contested area of the Vietnam War.
It was witness to some of the most brutal ground-fighting, the most devastating bombing, and the most defoliation (Agent Orange and others).
This map shows the important hills in what has become known as “The Hill Fights,” as well as the site of the 77-day siege of Khe Sanh Combat Base and its airstrip.
It also shows Lang Vei Special Forces Camp which was overrun in the first-ever NVA tank attack in the South.
And it shows the site of the infamous Lao Bao Prison.
Route 9, the trade road between Laos and Vietnam and which served as the sector’s main military supply route is clearly shown.
This map shows the locations of:
Khe Sanh Combat Base
Hill 558
Hill 689
Hill 800
Hill 861
Hill 881-South

Hill 950
