You are bidding on a
n official promotional movie theater cardboard standee for the 2009 theatrical release of STAR TREK directed by J.J. Abrams. This is brand new in the factory-sealed box and were only given to movie theaters by the movie studio as a way to market/promote the film within the theater's lobby. I have been involved in the original movie posters and memorabilia business since 1990. These were not sold in stores and extremely limited in nature making it very difficult to find any that are brand new, never displayed, and in the original factory-sealed box. When it is assembled the artwork design is similar to one of the official movie poster images which is of the U.S.S Enterprise warping through space. I have included an image of the standee leaning up against a car as well as an image of what it should look like when it is assembled, although the image may vary slightly. These are meant for the hardcore Star Trek collectors and would look great in any collection or home theater. These are the only two I have available for purchase, are the only one of it's kind on eBay and more than likely one of the only ones out there on the secondary market that is still sealed. This is a rather large heavy box so shipping will be on the expensive side.
