This wonderful ribbon doll picture was a craft project, folk art piece created in the 1950's from a "DOL-LEE pattern.  I have an original Dol-Lee pattern for sale in another listing, if you want to see what the pattern looks like!  The pattern includes a heavy card stock silhouette doll and instructions for dress her in ribbon and lace.  Of course, the finish products varied by maker - some, like this one, beautifully enhanced the instructions and pattern.  This one is really gorgeous, done in pale green, cream and pink silk ribbon on a pale cream background.  It is framed in a wonderful solid wood antique frame  from the early 1900's that really complements the antique style dress the little doll is wearing.  The frame has a slight dent in the gold trim, visible in the photos, and some surface scratches and light wear.  The biggest flaw is the way the picture is held into the frame; there is a plain cardboard back that is held with clear tape.  It really needs to be more tightly secured with some frame tacks.  Not a big deal, just want to mention it.  It looks fine, and hangs fine on the wall even as it is!  It is really beautiful, and would be great just about anywhere you want to put her!  I have lots of unusual things for sale, so take a look!

I hate adding more garbage to the environment; if you receive a box from me that has been used before, I am "recycling". I will make sure it's sturdy and the item well packaged. I will ensure your item will arrive in good condition, but the box may not be pretty (or it might be - I have to buy boxes, as well). All shipping within the US is free to you. All my packages are tracked, but if for some reason you don't receive your item or it arrives broken, I will refund your money.
