This is the Senior year high school yearbook for baseball Hall of Famer Eddie Mathews.  Ed is pictured at least

times in this book.  We have scanned in four of those photos: his posed senior photo (pix1), his individual football photo (pix 2) and two shots where he was captain of the baseball team (pix 3&4 and

that we have written in his name over his head on the scans, but that writing is
NOT
in the yearbook.) In addition there are at least five more shots of him on the Athletic Board, as one of the running backs on the football team, the entire football team, the entire baseball team and an action shot of him running with the football (
very nice!
)  The condition of this book is

This may have been sitting on someone's shelf untouched for quite a while because the pages inside are like new; no age toning, no cutouts, no writing at all!!  The front and back covers and spine are excellent (see pix 5 and note the gold is not any form of problem, but part of the original design of the Olive and Gold yearbook!!) with only mild shelf wear.  The
ONLY
VERY MODEST
defect, in this otherwise almost perfect book is that there is a very mild storage smell.  With our experience in yearbooks, we would place this book in the very top handful of those that still exist with little room for improvement.
