custom adjustable cup-seal piston and custom piston pin. T
he custom pin is machined from tool steel with radiused ends to match the internal tube contour, this reduces wear and scoring inside the tube. The piston base is machined from Delrin for ultra-smooth pumping and to function as a compression buffer to help protect metal parts from excessive stress. The piston rides on the Delrin base and cup seal with no metal-to-metal contact to reduce wear. Cup seal pistons tolerate dusty/dirty environments better than flat-top pistons and don't require piston adjustments or piston seal replacement as often. Generally a cup seal will last more than a decade of daily use if oiled properly. The consistency is generally within 5 FPS from one shot to the next which greatly enhances accuracy. The cup seal is a standard Crosman part that is easy to find and generally inexpensive, we have those listed also.
We also have a custom flat-face (AKA flat-top) piston listed. It produces more power at up to 10-11 pumps but falls behind the cup-seal version in the 12-17 pump range. It produces extremely tight shot to shot consistency generally within 2-3 FPS which is as good as it gets for any airgun type. It works exceptionally well for precision shooting but requires occasional piston adjustments and piston seal replacement, more often if used in dirty environments.
