This was stored in my elderly mother's things probably from her travel in the 1970s when First Class was really special. Almost for certain, she only carried this on the one flight because she loved to keep her travel collection and memories together to relive memories of her traveling days.

    We recently ran across this most unique First Class travel bag in my elderly mother's things as we were helping to clean out her home for a move.
    We've never ever seen a bag such as this for sale. Probably American Airlines used them only for a short time as they probably were costly.
    We believe this is vinyl but at the same time, it's extremely soft and pliable, so it could be leather or faux leather of some kind.
    This scarce bag measures about 6" tall and about 4.5" wide.
    It no doubt came from her travels in the 1970s when First Class was really special. We're sure that she only carried this on the one flight because she loved to keep her travel collection and memories together to relive memories of her traveling days.
